Every outdoorsman gets to a point in life when his mission becomes finding the perfect boat for his hunting and fishing passion. In my case, I was looking for a smaller skiff with the right draft and maneuverability to get me deep into the wetlands.
I discovered Beavertail Skiffs on the internet and was drawn to the Micro’s design and capabilities. I called Beavertail and spoke with Elizabeth who provided me with a quote and ideas to consider for designing the boat perfect for me. I must say, I picked the deck and hull color that would make an interior designer proud. With some guidance from Elizabeth, we determined the right coloring for the seat cushion and Sea Dek. I paid the deposit and received a completion date and the construction of my Micro was underway!
As the completion date approached I began to get a bit nervous because I know that in the construction industry, there are always delays. Elizabeth understood my concern but assured me that the boat would be ready and nothing would be missing. So, I made the journey from Texas to Bradenton…1200 miles. When I got to Beavertail Skiffs, Will was rolling out my Micro. The first thing I noticed was the fit and finish. It was really tight…the finer details looked like the work of an artist. I quickly learned that it was Will that put the finishing touches on the boat and as he walked me through all of my requested extra options, I discovered that there were a couple of added extras.
It was, and still is, my impression that Will and Elizabeth understood exactly what I wanted and how I was going to use my new boat. I always believe that good business entails “Doing what you say and saying what you do.” Both of these criteria were met. I’ve called the factory a couple of times with questions and Will has personally called me back to answer them. I have no hesitation in recommending to someone a new boat from the BT factory. I’m proud and happy to be a part of the BT family.
