A few months ago, I was talking with my son-in-law, Ben, about getting a skiff, and he suggested I check out the Beavertail Skiffs Rival. Everything I wanted in a boat, this one had—able to get into skinny water and low maintenance. At first, I didn’t think I could afford a custom skiff, but after comparing prices with similar boats, I found them to be much more expensive.
I reached out to Harry and Ann, and they guided me through the entire process of getting the boat I wanted. When we arrived to pick it up, they made everything so easy and walked us through the boat from bow to stern.
Ben and I had a water test with Capt. Rick Hilliard and fished Mosquito Lagoon. We caught fish in shallow water, enjoyed a smooth ride with three people on a 16-foot boat, and both of us were able to fish comfortably on the large front deck.
I’m looking forward to fishing this boat all over Florida—and maybe even beyond!
