Capt. Jerry Soupal, a first-generation Floridian, was born and raised on the Historic Coast near Jacksonville, Florida. It’s often said that Jerry was raised by men of a “forgotten generation”—men with oil, iron, and the outdoors deeply ingrained in their souls, much like the pioneers of the fish camps of Lake Caribou, Canada.
Jerry’s father spent his youth guiding those Canadian waters for walleye, pike, and musky, while his uncle launched a world-class pheasant hunting operation in Indiana. With such a legacy, Jerry grew up among accomplished outdoorsmen.
Though he initially pursued a career in baseball, fishing was the one constant in his life. Today, Capt. Jerry is thrilled to share the wonders of his own backyard, showcasing the beauty and excitement of Florida’s Historic Coast.
